How do I update my watch Firmware?
- To update your watch firmware, open the app, go to the “Device” tab at the bottom menu, scroll down to “Update”, and tap Update.
Note: Note: Fully charge the watch before use.
What should I keep in mind during a firmware update?
- Please ensure the watch battery is above 30%.
- During the update, keep the watch close to your phone and avoid using it.
- After the update is complete, wait a few minutes for the firmware to install.
- Restart the watch once the firmware is installed.
Note: If you notice any unexpected behavior after a firmware update:
- Reset the watch.
- Forget the watch from your phone's bluetooth settings.
- Unlink the watch from the app.
- Reconnect the watch via the app.
Why can't I connect my watch to the App?
- Turn on the phone’s bluetooth.
- Open the Layers App, navigate to "Device" in the app to search for the watch.
- Tap “Device” to search for Anarc Smartwatch.
- Once the watch is visible on the mobile app, select it and pair it with the app.
Troubleshooting for watch connectivity Issue:
Note: Avoid connecting the watch with multiple mobiles at the same time. To connect it to a new mobile, first forget the watch from the bluetooth settings of all paired mobiles, reset the watch, and then proceed to pair it with the new mobile.
Solution 1:
- Reset the Watch, forget the watch from the phone's bluetooth settings. Close the app running in the background. Reopen the app, navigate to "Device" in the app to search for the watch.
- Check the phone connection icon in the quick access menu on your watch and keep the watch and phone close together.
- Allow all the permissions for call and notifications.
- Do not connect directly to the phone's bluetooth initially.
- After pairing with the app, if only the app is connected but not the phone's bluetooth, then attempt to manually connect the mobile Bluetooth first.
Solution 2:
- Connect phone’s bluetooth first.
- Open the Layers App to connect with the app.
- Allow all the permissions for calls, and notifications
Note: If the above solution doesn’t work, restart both the phone and watch and then try again.
Note: Make sure your phone system meets Android 9.0 and above and iOS 13.0 and above.
How do I use the Bluetooth calling feature?
1. Automatic connection: When the watch is paired with the Layers Watch app for the first time, the watch's bluetooth calling will automatically connect to the phone's bluetooth on iOS (iPhone) (allow call permission while connecting the watch to the phone).
On Android, a bluetooth calling connection request will appear in the app.
2. The call accept icon is not appearing on the watch. (Connect phone bluetooth first, allow all the permissions for calls, notification and Open the Layers App to connect with the app)
My Bluetooth keeps getting disconnected.
- Ensure the distance between the phone and the watch is less than 10 meters.
- Make sure there are no obstacles between the watch and the phone.
- Try the manual connectivity process again:
- Connect the phone's bluetooth first.
- Open the Layers app to connect and pair it with the watch.
- Allow all permissions for calls and notifications.
How many notifications can be stored on the watch?
- From the main watch face, users can swipe up to view up to 10 notifications, with older notifications being replaced as new ones arrive.
- However, in the main menu, users can access additional notifications.
How many watchfaces can be stored on the watch?
The watch can save up to 20 cloud watch faces.
Why is the watch not reading my Sleep, heart rate, SpO2, Stress Data?
- Clean the sensor.
- Ensure the watch fits properly on your wrist. It should stay in contact with your skin.
- Hold your arm still and straight briefly to get a health data reading.
Note: For Optimal results, wear a silicon strap.
Note: SpO2 and Stress measurements may take up to 30-40 seconds.
The time displayed on my phone and on the watch are inconsistent.
- Ensure your watch is connected via the app and phone's bluetooth.
- Restart the watch and refresh the app.
The step count on the app and the watch is not syncing.
- Close the app running in the background or refresh it. Also, ensure the watch and app are synchronised.
Is it safe to wear the watch while taking a bath?
Not Recommended. The IP68 water resistance will only work under the following conditions:
- Maximum depth of water: 1.5 m
- Maximum time for exposure to water: 30 minutes
The watch is not suitable for hot baths, saunas, hot springs, snorkeling, diving, water skiing, or activities involving high-speed water flow.
